STATEMENT from The Birdsville Race Club
The Birdsville Race Club is following, and will continue to monitor, all COVID-19 developments.
We remain hopeful that the event will proceed on September 4 & 5, 2020, however we will of course take advice from Government and Queensland Health authorities over the coming months.
The only change to plans for the Races at this stage is that the tickets on-sale that was scheduled for April 2 will be delayed.
Maintaining the safety and health of patrons who are passionate supporters of the event, and that of the Birdsville community and outback townships on the routes into Birdsville, will remain the number one priority of the event organisers.
Further announcements regarding the on-sale of tickets and staging of the 2020 Birdsville Races will be made in due course.
